Japan Accused of Attempting to Block Resumption of Six-party Talks

Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- Japanese Foreign Minister Okada at a recent press conference let loose impertinent remarks, uttering this or that about the "Cheonan" case, a plot. He jabbered that "it is difficult to expect an early resumption of the six-party talks" and "it depends on the attitude" of the DPRK. Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a signed commentary in this regard: This was nothing but rhetoric let loose by Okada, prompted by Japan's dastardly and sinister plot to derail the six-party talks at any cost in a bid to block the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and fish in troubled waters. Japan is still making much fuss about the "Cheonan" case imprudently though it has no justification to meddle in the matter. This is no more than disgraceful behavior of a servant of the U.S. to please his master. The six-party talks are not such type of talks which are conducted at the beck and call of Japan. They do not require any interference from it and they are sure to be resumed if there are mature conditions for them. Their resumption depends on those necessary conditions. The whole process of the six-party talks goes to prove that Japan was nothing but a trouble-maker and a bete-noire at the talks. Japan would be well advised to mind its unstable and tumultuous society in stead of conducting hectic diplomacy as it has neither qualification nor face to participate in the six-party talks. The situation in Japan now remains unstable and political quake is looming there. It is, therefore, ridiculous for Japan to make such absurd efforts to block the resumption of the six-party talks, turning its face away from its domestic affairs. There is nothing for Japan to do at the six-party talks. It had better properly know where it stands and stop poking its nose into irrelevant matters. |
