Participants in the meeting warmly congratulated the principal creators and artistes on their successful presentation of the opera with garlands and bouquets.

Song Sok Hwan, vice-minister of Culture, said in his speech that the opera "A Dream of Red Mansions" could be successfully staged as the beautiful flower of friendship between the DPRK and China thanks to General Secretary Kim Jong Il who initiated its reproduction on the best level as required by the new century and energetically led it.

Noting that through the performance tour of China the creators and artistes keenly realized the personality of Kim Jong Il as a peerlessly great man, he stressed that they came to have the conviction that they can successfully carry out any creative task if they do as taught by him.

Speakers at the meeting said that the theory and principle on creating operas of "Sea of Blood" style serve as a cornerstone for the development of Juche-oriented opera art and an encyclopedia for opera creation as it helps perfectly represent any world famous work.

They expressed the resolution to make new innovation in creating opera and significantly greet the 65th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the WPK conference.
