At the rally speakers condemned the U.S. and the Lee Myung Bak regime for finally kicking off joint naval exercises in the East Sea of Korea with huge armed forces involved though the international public denied the "story about the north's" involvement in the case of warship "Cheonan" and called for defusing the tension on the Korean Peninsula.

The war maneuvers precisely mean a real war, they noted, adding that the escalated military confrontation on the peninsula is threatening peace and the vital rights of all the people in the south and the north.

Whoever wants peace should turn out in the struggle against the warmongers' ambition for aggression and war in order to bar them from plunging the peninsula into flames of another war, they stressed.

They stated they would stage joint actions including rally, press conference and demonstration across south Korea throughout the period when the above-said joint naval exercises are under way.
