The Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK in its statement on July 23 noted that the three-year Korean War in the 1950s ended up with victory of the army and people of the DPRK who made heroic struggle, closely rallied around President Kim Il Sung and the Workers' Party of Korea.

Friends of Korea in Russia together with the world progressives fully support all the just and principled lines General Secretary Kim Jong Il set forth and is carrying into practice to defend the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of the nation and achieve the peace and reunification of Korea, the statement stressed.

Hasanul Huq Inu, chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, in the statement on July 22 expressed firm belief that the army and people of the DPRK would register greater successes in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and achieve national reunification, extending solidarity to the Korean people who have made history of victory in every struggle against imperialism and the U.S.

Oskar Molleby, chief of the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, in the statement issued on the same day condemned the U.S. for getting evermore pronounced in the scheme to stifle the DPRK instead of replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty.
