Noting that the promulgation of the law by President Kim Il Sung on July 30, Juche 35 (1946) was a great event which brought about a revolutionary change in the position of the Korean women and in their socio-political life, the editorial goes on:

The Juche-oriented women's movement pioneered by the President has greeted a shining heyday under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The Korean women are firmly confident that Kim Jong Il is a symbol of all victories and that their worthwhile life and future lie in remaining true to the Songun leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea. They are devoting themselves, fully aware that they are proud militant ranks standing shoulder to shoulder with men on the front of the Songun revolution. This is the noble spiritual world of the Korean women.

The day is drawing near when Songun Korea will greet the emergence of a thriving nation with fireworks as the Korean women, who account for half of the country's population, are bringing about miracles and innovations in different parts of the country alongside the men, true to the party's idea of effecting a great surge.

Korean-style socialism remains strong and the society is pervaded with fragrant scent of beautiful life thanks to the trustworthy Korean women dynamically pushing one of the wheels of the revolutionary chariot, always remaining faithful to the party.

The editorial calls on all the women to bear deep in mind the great honor and happiness of holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as their leader and father and fully display their revolutionary spirit in the on-going general offensive to significantly greet the conference of the party and its 65th founding anniversary.
