It was originally produced on the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 70th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army.

This time the creating staff has successfully re-portrayed it including the production of Chapter 5 "Arirang for friendship."

Appreciating the opening performance were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kang Nung Su, vice-premier, leading officials of working people's organizations and ministries, servicepersons, working people in Pyongyang, overseas compatriots and foreign guests.

The performers made a great epic representation of the undying revolutionary exploits Kim Il Sung performed by achieving the historic cause of the country's liberation through the hard-fought war against the Japanese imperialists and building a dignified socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence in this land and the heroic struggle of servicepersons and people of the DPRK who are bringing about the great innovations and making leap forward in building a thriving nation while pushing back the frontiers of latest science under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The performers presented dynamic gymnastic movements, beautiful music, elegant dances, ever-changing background scenes and gorgeous electronic displays, mesmerizing the spectators.
