Appreciated at the film shows were Korean films showing the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and the invincible might of the Korean People's Army.

Speeches were made at the events.

Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, and other speakers said that it was thanks to the original strategy and wise leadership of Kim Il Sung that the Korean people could achieve a historic victory in the life-and-death fight against the U.S. imperialists. And they stressed that the existence of the DPRK gives a firm guarantee for the victory in the revolution to the world progressives.

The chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the secretary general of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the organizational secretary of the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association praised the Songun leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il and underlined the need to intensify the study and dissemination of the Juche idea, the Songun idea, disclose the sycophantic and treacherous nature of the south Korean puppet clique and the brutality of the U.S. imperialists and fully support the Korean people's cause of national reunification.

The chairman of the National Committee of the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo praised Kim Il Sung as an invincible and iron-willed commander who reliably defended the sovereignty of the country and shattered to smithereens the myth of the U.S. imperialist's "mightiness" by leading the Fatherland Liberation War to victory.

The chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgys El" Republican Political Party of Kyrgyzstan said that Kim Il Sung put forward the line of simultaneously developing the economic construction and the defence upbuilding and the line of turning the entire army into an army of cadres, modernizing the entire army, placing all the people under arms and turning the whole country into a fortress to bolster up the national defence capability and fortify the whole country as an impregnable fortress.
