The Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK charged in its statement that the enemies of the DPRK turned down all dialogues including the DPRK-U.S. talks and the six-party talks. They have turned to intensifying pressure through launch of war exercises and sanctions, ignoring the international community, it added.

The peaceful public circles of Russia and friends of the DPRK demand that the U.S. and the south Korean authorities stop their adventurous moves against the DPRK at once and come out to the dialogue for peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia, the statement said.

The Karelia Branch of the association, too, held in its appeal that the U.S. and the south Korean authorities should come out to the negotiations, rather than posing military threat to the DPRK, to probe the truth about the "Cheonan" warship case and seek a negotiated solution to the issue of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.
