Rim Su Chang, head of the management office of the recreation ground, told KCNA that the swimming pool was crowded to capacity with several thousand people coming every day in this hot season.

The swimming pool, composed of four open-air baths, is frequented mainly by youth and schoolchildren.

Also seen there are some aged men and women.

It offers a glimpse of the cultural and emotional activities enjoyed by the Korean people under the care of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The swimming pool covering thousands of square meters and its auxiliary facilities have recently undergone facelifting to provide better conditions to those enjoying themselves there.
