New Postage Stamps Issued

| Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- New stamps (a souvenir sheet and a sheetlet) have been issued by the State Stamp Bureau of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with the approach of the 65th anniversary of national liberation. Seen in the upper parts of the stamps is an inscription "Commemoration of 65th anniversary of national liberation -- Juche 34 (1945)-Juche 99 (2010)". The souvenir sheet contains a Korean painting "February holiday greeted with national liberation approaching" portraying President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk among anti-Japanese fighters. Printed in the sheetlet are art works showing revolutionary activities of the President in the periods of the anti-Japanese armed struggle and building of a democratic state. |
