The championship brought together at least 2,400 male and female players from 98 countries and regions. They competed in various events.

Jo Yong Chol came first in the 10m rapid-fire air rifle event in the male individual adult group while Ri Hyang Sim placed second in the same event and in the 10m normal speed fire air rifle event in the young individual female group.
