I congratulate you on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Korea's liberation, national holiday of the Korean people.

It is my belief that the long-standing relations of friendship and mutual respect between the two peoples that have been forged and strengthened in the historic course of joint struggle to liberate Korea from the colonial yoke of foreign forces would develop, boosting security and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia as a whole.
