Floral Tribute Paid to Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were placed before the statues of President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Korea's liberation. Servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, working people of all strata, school youth and children and overseas Koreans visited the statue of Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill. Seen before the statue was a floral basket from General Secretary Kim Jong Il. Placed before the statue were floral baskets in the name of the Party, armed forces and power organs, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and organs, enterprises, factories and schools at all levels in the city of Pyongyang. A floral basket was also laid in the name of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front. Calling back with deep emotion upon the exploits of national liberation performed by peerless patriot and legendary hero Kim Il Sung, the participants paid tribute to him in humble reverence. Floral baskets were also laid before his statues at Kim Il Sung Military University, Kim Il Sung University, the Ministry of People's Security, the Pyongyang Students and Children's Palace and various other places. Servicepersons, working people and school youth children in other parts of the DPRK, too, laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statues of Kim Il Sung in their residential quarters. The delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Minister of Regional Development Viktor Basargin who is chairman of the Russian side of the DPRK-Russia Inter-governmental Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Committee laid a floral basket before the statue of the President on Mansu Hill on the same day. |
