Kosan County, Kangwon Province, has produced vegetable agrochemicals with raw materials abundant in the area to exterminate harmful insects in rice, corn and bean fields.

The agrochemicals produced by the plant epidemic prevention office of the county have many strong points. They, low in production cost, promote the early growth of crops and their effect exists longer than chemical ones.

Cooperative farms in South Phyongan Province, including the Ryongjung Cooperative Farm in Mundok County, have produced compound microbiological fertilizers suitable to different crops.

Taehongdan County, Ryanggang Province, has established a piglet breeding system to increase the number of piglets and boosted the production of liquid manure in the first half of the year 1.5 times compared with the same period of last year.

The Unha Cooperative Farm in Unjon County, North Phyongan Province, has increased the number of domestic animals to produce large quantities of organic fertilizers, while using mud snails in weeding rice fields.
