Since the seaside camp was opened on August 17, Juche 49 (1960), it has accommodated more than 320,000 schoolchildren. Of them much more than ten thousands are those from some ten countries, including China, Cuba, Russia, Syria, Thailand, Tanzania, Nigeria and Mexico.

In the camp with clean seawater, glittering sand beach and thick pine forest going well with each other, boys and girls enjoy sea bathing, boating, diving and the like.

They also deepen friendship through meetings, sports games and amusements.

The camp has two buildings with over 220 bedrooms and the International Friendship House of Children with a 1,200-seat theater. It is furnished with a music room, indoor swimming pool, wading pool, amusement facilities, playground, boating ground, ballroom, dining hall, clinic and store.
