Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises being staged by the U.S. imperialists across south Korea once again are of very dangerous and provocative nature, Rodong Sinmun says, and goes on:

The U.S.-touted "counteraction" precisely means the use of armed forces against the DPRK.

The U.S. imperialists are crying out for "boosting the capability of the alliance" with south Korea in a bid to put it under their tighter control and use the puppet army as cannon fodder for another Korean war any moment. The on-going war maneuvers are designed to achieve this objective.

Provocateurs of a war always require a pretext for doing so. The U.S. imperialists are escalating military pressure and blackmail against the DPRK under the pretext of the warship case. They are keen to ignite an all-out war against the DPRK all of a sudden while staging the large-scale war maneuvers with armed forces for aggression involved.

A particular mention should be made of the fact that the U.S. imperialists are staging UFG under the simulated conditions of a nuclear war.

Their much-touted "counteraction" means a declaration of war whereas UFG is a joint military operation to put it into practice.

The army and people of the DPRK will not remain an onlooker to the U.S. imperialists staging three-dimensional attack operations in the seas, etc. with huge armed forces involved and thereby gravely threatening its sovereignty.

Minju Joson says that if the Lee Myung Bak group ignites a war of aggression against the DPRK in league with the U.S., the army and people of the DPRK will wipe out all the aggressors and achieve the cause of national reunification by displaying the militant will they have reinforced so far.
