Present there from the DPRK side were Pak Kil Yon, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Myong San, vice-minister of Foreign Trade, and officials concerned and from the Lao side were the party of the standing vice-prime minister and Chaleune Warinthrasak, Lao ambassador to the DPRK.

At the talks both sides exchanged views on the matter of boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and other issues of mutual concern.
