The completion of the foundry where all the production processes ranging from feed of raw materials to mixing, moulding, melting and desanding are computerized and the shop furnished with CNC-based equipment made it possible for the complex to effect a radical turn in casting iron and producing compressors as a leading large-size machine producer.

It also made it possible to completely free workers in the casting field from hard and difficult labor and ensure the highest level of cultured practice in production while significantly cutting down manpower and the consumption of electricity.

Present at the ceremony were President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong Nam, Vice-Premiers Kim Rak Hui, Jon Ha Chol, Kang Nung Su, Pak Su Gil, Jo Pyong Ju and Han Kwang Bok, officials concerned and officials and employees of the complex.

Thanks sent by General Secretary Kim Jong Il to the officials and workers of the complex who rendered devoted services for the building of the above-said establishments were conveyed there.

Kwak Pom Gi, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made an address at the ceremony.
