The work which fully reflects the earnest instructions of the President on reunifying the country by the concerted efforts of all Koreans serves as ever as a banner instilling the patriotic spirit into them and guaranteeing the victory in the cause of great national unity.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il formulated the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo set forth by the President as the three charters for national reunification and has wisely led the struggle for accomplishing the cause of national reunification through the great unity of the nation on the basis of the three charters.

The adoption of the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, a programme for implementing it, means an inheritance of the President's idea of national reunification and leadership over the struggle to materialize it and its brilliant embodiment.

All the fellow countrymen in the north and the south and overseas should firmly unite under the patriotic banner, the banner of the north-south joint declaration, and bring about national reunification as early as possible, concludes the article.
