The participants competed in eight events including defence sports and soccer.

Players of Kim Il Sung University, Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies, Haeju University of Light Industry and Pyongyang Hydrometeorological College came first in defence sports events and those of Kim Il Sung University and Kim Hyong Jik University of Education in soccer games.

Kim Il Sung University also took the first place in men and women's basketball games, men's volleyball games and men and women's table tennis games and men's track and field events and Kim Hyong Jik University of Education in women's volleyball matches, men and women's badminton matches and women's track and field events and Korean wrestling events.
