The festival was divided into hygiene and anti-epidemics, basic medical science, internal medicine, surgery, Koryo medicine and pharmacology panels.

Presented at the festival were at least 400 valuable papers on the successes made by researchers, teachers, doctors and pharmacists in the field of healthcare across the country in their scientific researches and practice.

Participants in the panel discussions introduced scientific and technological achievements helpful to implementing the Workers' Party of Korea's idea of attaching importance to science and technology and its policy of preventive medicine and improving the preventive service and treatment for working people while swapping their experience.

A closing ceremony of the festival was held at the Grand People's Study House on Thursday.
