A press release made public there recalled that the march group toured different areas including Seoul, Taegu, Kwangju and Pusan from July 30 to wage an all-people signature campaign for the probe into the truth behind the "Cheonan" case.

This period witnessed the mounting voices of the people demanding the Lee Myung Bak regime probe the truth behind the case without a shred of suspicion as early as possible, the press release noted, and went on:

The present regime, however, kicked off a vicious repressive campaign to blindfold people and stop their ears under the pretext of security, while fanning up a war atmosphere.

Expressing irrepressible indignation at the present regime, the press release urged the authorities to throw away the "results of investigation" faked up by the "joint investigation team" and conduct a comprehensive "inspection of state administration" to bring to light the truth of the case.

It also urged the authorities to opt for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration at an early date, stop the crackdown upon the people and make apology for their crimes.
