Website Opened to Introduce DPRK Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo
Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- A website has recently been opened to introduce the DPRK Pavilion of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, along with the capital city of Pyongyang and the history, culture and customs of the Korean people. The website address is www.expo2010-dprkorea.org.

On the theme of the DPRK Pavilion "Pyongyang Prospering on the Basis of the Culture of the Taedong River", the website offers videos showing grand monumental edifices, including the Tower of the Juche Idea, and historic spots such as the Ulmil Pavilion and Chilsong Gate in Pyongyang, and art performances given by the Unhasu Orchestra and other national art troupes, Korean schoolchildren and visiting foreign artistes.

A video of the grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang" and music videos of songs of revolutionary operas "The Flower Girl" and "Sea of Blood" and such popular songs as "My Wife" are available on the website.

It also gives a detailed introduction of the mausoleum of Koryo founder Wang Kon, the Ryongthong Temple, Sonjuk Bridge and other historic relics in Kaesong, national customs including folk dishes and tourist destinations such as Mts. Paektu, Kumgang, Myohyang and Chilbo.

A stream of foreigners visiting the DPRK Pavilion is also seen on the website.

September 6 will be Day of the DPRK Pavilion.
