In the speech, titled "The Chollima Riders Are Heroes of Our Age and Red Warriors of the Party," he clarified the nature and role of the movement and called for not limiting it to the field of industry but expanding it to all other fields including agriculture, construction, education, public health, science and art, and putting it on a higher level.

Referring to the issue of learning after the examples of the Chollima (a legendary horse running 250 miles a day) riders to expand and develop the movement, he emphasized that the industrialization of the country should be carried out by fulfilling a seven-year plan and that the people's living standard should be improved sharply.

His speech greatly helped make the whole country replete with the spirit of the Chollima movement.

The great idea and leadership of the President and the patriotic effort of the former generation, including the vanguards of the Chollima movement, which turned the DPRK into a powerful socialist industrial country in the last century, are still inspiring the Korean people in their effort for bringing about a fresh upsurge in the building of a thriving nation on this land without fail, true to the noble intention of the President.
