August 25, Juche 49 (1960), when Kim Jong Il visited the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army was brilliantly recorded in the history of the Korean nation as a historical day that declared the successful accession to the revolutionary cause of Songun which was pioneered on Mt. Paektu, the statement noted, and said:

The 50-year long history of Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership is recorded as the sacred course in which he has defended and comprehensively developed in depth the Songun idea and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and as the annals of victory and glory in which he has strengthened the KPA into invincible revolutionary armed forces to provide a strong militant guarantee for defending the destiny of the nation and made a grandiose new history of building a rich and powerful country.

In particular, Kim Jong Il formulated the Songun politics as the main political mode of socialism after penetrating into the prevailed situation and the inevitable requirements of the developing revolution in the 1990s and put on a new higher stage the revolutionary cause of Songun by fully realizing the politics in all fields of the revolution and construction.

Thanks to Kim Jong Il, greatest-ever commander, and the invincible Songun politics, the cause of national reunification is sure to emerge victorious and the desire of the Koreans to live in a new reunified country free from foreign forces will be certainly realized.
