Attending the meeting were delegates elected at the party organizations of units at different levels of the KPA.

The meeting discussed the issue of electing delegates to the conference of the WPK.

Kim Jong Gak, first vice director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, said in his speech on the election that the election of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il as a delegate to the conference of the WPK was a manifestation of the undisputed trust in him and transparent loyalty to him of the servicepersons deepened in the course of the historic struggle, in which they have covered only the road of victory and glory holding Kim Jong Il at the highest posts of the Party, army and state, and the reflection of the requirements of the era for the victory of the cause of building a thriving socialist nation.

Kim Jong Il has led the Party and the revolution, the country and people for a long period since he embarked upon the road of revolution with his outstanding politico-military caliber and a revolutionary method of waging an offensive, thus performing undying exploits to shine forever in the history of
Kim Il Sung's nation, he said, and went on:

It is the loyalty of the servicepersons and people to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, invariably holding him at the highest posts of the WPK and the revolution.

Kim Jong Gak courteously proposed the election of Kim Jong Il as a delegate to the conference of the WPK, representing the unanimous will and desire of all the servicepersons.

Delegates of party organizations of units at different levels of the KPA in their speeches fully supported and approved his proposal.

A decision on electing Kim Jong Il as a delegate to the conference of the WPK was adopted with a unanimous approval at the meeting.

The meeting also elected delegates to the conference of the WPK.
