S. Korean Puppet Unification Minister's Anti-DPRK Rhetoric Rebuked

Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- Hyon In Thaek, puppet minister of Unification of south Korea, at a recent "commemorative academic meeting" blustered that the "peaceful community" and the "economic community" mean the process of stepping up "denuclearization in parallel with economic cooperation" and "unification tax" was not proposed "with a particular situation in the north including 'contingency' in mind." He went the lengths of raving that the "issue should be settled from broad perspective and deep understanding, looking far into the future rather than the immediate improvement of the south-north relations."

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

What Hyon uttered is peppered with sheer hypocrisy and excuses as it is designed to justify traitor Lee Myung Bak's traitorous and anti-reunification theory of confrontation strongly rejected and censured by the people of different social standings and put it into practice at any cost.

The string of sheer nonsense let loose by Hyon to defend the chief executive was prompted by his cynical ploy to calm down the strong opposition from the people from all walks of life.

As evidenced by Hyon's wordplay about "broad perspective and deep understanding", the Lee Myung Bak group has no willingness to save the inter-Korean relations from the present worst crisis but only watches for a chance to do harm and stifle the DPRK in collusion with outsiders.

Only stern and merciless punishment await the group of despicable traitors as they have desperately pursued confrontation and war moves, quite contrary to the trend of the June 15 era of reunification.

The group will be forced to pay a dear price for its crimes against the nation and reunification.
