The young people in the era of Songun are the reliable political reserves of the Party steadfastly carrying forward the tradition of single-minded unity, the most revolutionary combat ranks who are creditable successors to the Songun tradition of Mt. Paektu, and a shock brigade performing epoch-making miracles in building a thriving socialist nation, the editorial says, and goes on:

The political and ideological position of the revolutionary ranks has become as firm as a rock as millions of young people are wholeheartedly following and remaining single-mindedly loyal to the headquarters of the revolution.

Our young people are honorably protecting the dignity and sovereignty of the country on the anti-imperialist military front with the arms of Mt. Paektu in their hands and playing an important role in bolstering up the war deterrent guaranteeing the eternal destiny of the nation.

There are huge contingents of young people remaining intensely loyal to the Party and the leader among soldier-builders of the Huichon Power Station who created a new Chollima speed in the era of Songun holding high the slogan of "Let's Be Responsible for a Thousand Years and Guarantee for Ten of Thousands of Years!" and the builders of the Taegyedo Tideland Reclamation project who powerfully demonstrated before the whole world that the DPRK can do anything when it is determined.

The WPK's cause of the Songun revolution has entered a new higher stage and an immensely rosy future is in store for the Korean people. Now is the time for the young people to give full play to the heroic stamina and militant might of the young Korean people who have grown to be reliable successors to the revolution under the care of the WPK.

Very great are the trust and expectation of the WPK towards the young people in the on-going grand march for a great surge to be specially recorded in the history of the country and the nation.
