They joyously spent the day, looking back on the victorious and glorious road covered by the Korean youth movement under the leadership of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu.

Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Yang Hyong Sop and leading officials of party and power bodies and working people's organizations in Pyongyang and local areas visited Kim Il Sung University, the Sunchon Cement Complex, the Pyongyang Textile Mill, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Silk Mill, the Migok Cooperative Farm in Sariwon City, Kim Chaek University of Technology and other industrial establishments, farms and universities to congratulate the youth and students on the day.

Senior state officials together with youth and students laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statues of President Kim Il Sung, monuments to revolutionary activities of the peerlessly great persons and other places in their respective units and paid tribute to them.

They looked round the revolutionary museums, the rooms devoted to the education in revolutionary relics, the rooms devoted to the history of units. They also met and conversed with exemplary youth and students.

They congratulated youth and students on their innovations effected in production and construction and achievements made in study by displaying revolutionary enthusiasm and spirit and called on them to give full play to the heroic stamina as Songun young vanguard in the on-going advance for a great surge.

Youth and students gave art performances and had sports and amusement games on the day.
