It said that the founding of the DPRK by President Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea, was a historic event that paved the way of building a unique socialist state centered on the popular masses.

For more than 60 years after the founding of the DPRK, the Korean people have built a socialist power frustrating the persistent moves of the imperialist allied forces and reactionaries to stifle it, the statement said, adding: The Korean people have grown to be people strong in the sense of independence and the DPRK has turned into a political, ideological and military power nobody can deny or provoke.

The Korean people will surely emerge victorious in the general offensive for opening a gate to a thriving nation without fail in 2012 marking the centenary of birth of the President.
