New Slogan Reflecting Spirit of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The North Phyongan Provincial Tideland Reclamation Complex has obtained arable land as large as a county by building dykes extending nearly 14 kilometers from Tasa Islet in Yomju County to Cholsan peninsula through Taedasa, Kacha, Soyondong and Taegye islets and constructing networks of facilities. The tideland reclamation, a monumental project of the Workers' Party era, has been carried out by its workers' heroic effort, indomitable spirit of self-sacrifice, clever conception and unique methods of construction. When visiting the reclaimed tideland, General Secretary Kim Jong Il said that the slogan "When the Party is determined, we can do anything!" had come from the Korean People's Army before but now an excellent slogan of the Party "When determined, Korea can do anything!" has come from the tideland reclamation project. Reflected in the new slogan are the splendid features of the DPRK ever developing under the Songun politics and the strong will of the army and people to build a thriving nation without fail. The successful construction of the dykes mirrors the DPRK deciding anything out of its own belief and acting up to its resolution. In the country Juche-based vinalon and fertilizer production processes have been built in the wake of the completion of the Juche-based steel production system and modernly-equipped foodstuff factories such as the Samilpho Specialties Factory have appeared throughout the country. And a vast apple orchard has come into being in Wonhung. The dam project of the large-sized Kumyagang Army-people Power Station and the construction of Ryesonggang Youth Power Station No.2 have been completed. The great changes which have been brought about in the country show that the army and people have strength enough to do anything when they are determined. |
