Friendship between DPRK-Chinese Schools Observed

Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of calligraphic and art works opened with due ceremony at Kim Song Ju Primary School on Thursday to mark the first anniversary of the friendly relations between the school of the DPRK and Experimental Primary School in Fusong County of China.

Present there were Jon Yong Jin, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials concerned and teachers and pupils of the school.

Ambassador Liu Hongcai and staff members of the Chinese embassy here were on hand.

The participants laid bunches of flowers before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the school and made bows to him.

Speeches were made at the ceremony.

The participants looked round the works on display.

At the end of the ceremony the ambassador and staff members of the embassy went round the educational facilities, being briefed on the history of the school associated with leadership exploits of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu.
