US Accused of Pressurizing S. Korea to Cover Upkeep for Its Forces
Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea held a 104th rally for peace and disarmament outside the puppet Ministry of Defense on August 31, accusing the U.S. of pressurizing south Korea to cover the expense for the transfer of the U.S. military bases.

Speakers at the rally charged that the U.S. is pressurizing south Korea to cover the upkeep of its forces with the taxes collected from the south Korean people though it was obliged to bear the expense for the transfer of the base of its second division. It accused the U.S. of mulling specifying this in a document to be adopted at the annual security consultative meeting slated to take place in future.

They deplored that south Korean people had already expressed concern over the fact that south Korea would come under the burden of covering all the expenses for the transfer of the U.S. military bases pursuant to its new war strategy and this became a reality.

They called upon the people from all walks of life to positively turn out in the struggle against the pressure upon south Korea to bear the expense for the transfer of the U.S. military bases and the expansion of the U.S. forces base in Phyongthaek.
