The bulletin said in an article that the Songun idea serves as a banner of national prosperity as it calls for putting forward an army as a main force of revolution and placing military affairs above all other affairs and a line indicating the correct way of building a great prosperous and powerful nation.

It continued:

The Songun idea clarifies that a thriving nation can be built only under the leadership of the great party, by powerful defense capability and a genuine government serving the popular masses.

The policy of the Workers' Party of Korea that enables the People's Army to set an example in all aspects and encourages all the people to learn from it is one of the fundamental factors which put strong impetus to the building of a thriving nation. The army and people of the DPRK will invariably advance along the path chosen by themselves and surely achieve the socialist cause of Juche holding aloft the banner of Songun under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The organization issued a bulletin on August 11 to mark the 65th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The bulletin under the title "Massacres Committed by the Japanese Imperialists in Korea" carried an article and photos disclosing barbarities committed by the Japanese imperialists after their occupation of Korea in the first half of the last century.
