The statement accused the U.S. and the sycophantic and traitorous Lee Myung Bak regime of jointly staging the DPRK-targeted anti-submarine exercises in the West Sea of Korea in the wake of waging the largest-ever joint naval maneuvers in the East Sea of Korea under the pretext of the case of warship sinking.

Condemning the U.S. and the south Korean warmongers for staging the dangerous war exercises against the desire of all the Koreans and other world people for peace, the statement said:

It is already a well-known fact that the case of the warship sinking and investigation into it were peppered with lies.

The U.S. and the Lee Myung Bak group can never escape heavier political blow if they keep staging the adventurous military exercises, pushing the situation to an extreme phase with the case as a pretext, the statement warned.

It called on all the Koreans to oppose the war moves of the U.S. and sycophantic traitors and wage an anti-U.S. and anti-dictatorship struggle in firm unity under the banner of "By our nation itself".
