Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Jilin Yuwen Middle School in northeastern China typifies DPRK-China friendship. President Kim Il Sung studied at the school in the period from Juche 16 (1927) to Juche 18 (1929), during which he formed revolutionary organizations such as the Anti-imperialist Youth League and the Young Communist League of Korea and energetically guided youth and students in their anti-Japanese struggle. The Chinese government and people have kept the school and its historical relics well preserved to show feats performed by the President, who made a great contribution to the victory of revolution not only in Korea but also in China and provided deep-rooted traditions of bilateral friendship. Standing on the campus is a statue of the President. Preserved at the classroom are the desk, chair and other things he used in his school days more than 80 years ago. When visiting the school in August, General Secretary Kim Jong Il left at the school his autograph "I wish Yuwen Middle School, which is symbolic of DPRK-China friendship and has a long history and tradition, will train many more excellent personnel. August 26, 2010. Kim Jong Il." The school has friendly ties with Changdok School in Pyongyang. |
