Rev. Han visited the DPRK to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration together with fellow countrymen, the statement said, accusing the Lee Myung Bak group of south Korea of charging Rev. Han with the violation of the "Security Law" and branding his meeting with compatriots in the north as "illegal."

Illegal was not Han's visit to the north but the south Korean authorities' arrest of him, the statement noted, declaring that the organizations would join all the Korean friends in demanding the south Korean authorities unconditionally and immediately set him free.

It called on the Western media not to keep mum about this criminal action of the Lee Myung Bak group any longer.
