The work, published on September 5, Juche 97 (2008), stresses that the 60 year-long history of the DPRK is a great history of struggle and victory, creation and change in which its people have defended the independence and honor of the country and built the prosperous and powerful socialist state, going through the tempest of revolution under the great leader and the great party. Expounded in it is also the idea that even a small and backward country can turn into a developed and dignified power when it is guided by the great leader and the great party.

It indicates the tasks and ways for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea, the banner of Songun.

A ceremony of releasing the work was held by the association on September 7.
