Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Peru and Bangladesh issued bulletins to mark the 62nd birthday of the DPRK. The Peruvian preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung issued its bulletin on September 3, which carried a portrait of the smiling President and an article titled "The 62nd birthday of the DPRK". The bulletin noted in an article that Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK and developed it into an independent socialist country. Recalling that the DPRK introduced the universal free medical care system and the free compulsory education system and abolished the tax system and has stood in the van of the anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle, it said that the DPRK advancing toward a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Il is winning the worldwide admiration for its powerful war deterrent built under the banner of Songun. Over the past years the DPRK has strengthened friendship and solidarity with the world progressives while making everything serve the people and pushing ahead with the economic construction and the development of science and technology on the principle of independence, it noted. The Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee stressed in its bulletin on Sept. 6 that over the past 62 years since the birth of a genuine independent and sovereign state proclaimed by Kim Il Sung, the DPRK has turned into a unique people-centered socialist state. The DPRK has greeted a new golden age in which the dignity and strength of the country has been put on the highest phase, it said. The committee extends full support and encouragement to the Korean people in the cause of national reunification, expressing belief that they will surely emerge victorious in the drive to open the gate to a thriving nation in 2012, the bulletin stressed. |
