Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

This is not a matter to be overlooked as it is part of the evermore undisguised moves to militarize Japan.

Being a war criminal state, Japan is banned by the post-war law from possessing any combat forces.

The Japanese reactionaries claim that the purpose of the above-said reorganization is "to bolster up the capability to defend far-flung islet", but, their real intention is to enable the Ground "Self-Defence Force" to kick off its overseas aggression like the U.S. Marines. As far as the U.S. Marines are concerned, their main mission is not defense but offence. They play the role of a shock brigade in the U.S. imperialists' war of aggression and military intervention.

The Japanese reactionaries, hell-bent on overseas expansion and the moves to stage a comeback to Korea, are now busy staging joint military maneuvers against the DPRK and its neighboring countries in collusion with the U.S. imperialists.

The moves to reorganize the Ground SDF into the U.S. Marines and ceaseless joint military exercises are solely aimed at attaining its sinister purposes after getting Japan involved in wars in pursuance of the U.S. imperialists' policy of aggression.

However, it is a foolish dream for the Japanese reactionaries to make desperate efforts to realize its old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere" backed by the U.S.

Japan's moves to become a military giant and launch overseas aggression will only bring death and destruction to it.
