DPRK Advances to Semifinals in U-17 Women's World Cup

| Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- The DPRK women's football team defeated its German rival 1:0 at the quarterfinals of the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, qualifying to advance to semifinals. The DPRK team beat its Chilean rival 3:0 and its Trinidad and Tobago rival 1:0 in the league match of group A, thus placing second to advance to quarterfinals. A long distance ball strongly kicked by Kim Kum Jong at around the 44th minute in the first half was netted to the dismay of the German goal-keeper. |
