End to US Forces' Presence in S. Korea Demanded
Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- The Franken Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Germany issued a statement in demand of an end to the U.S. forces' presence in south Korea on Sept. 10.

The U.S. forces' presence in south Korea is a basic factor of having blocked the reunification of Korea and brought all sorts of misfortune and pain to the Korean people, the statement said, adding:

The recent deterioration of the inter-Korean relations is also attributable to the U.S. forces' presence in south Korea.

The Soviet army withdrew from the DPRK after its founding but the U.S. has still kept its forces in south Korea, seeking to perpetuate the division of Korea.

The withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea is a prerequisite to achieving freedom and independence for the whole of Korea.

We demand the U.S. pull its forces out of south Korea so as to provide the Korean people with environment necessary for achieving the reunification of the country by their own efforts free from the interference of foreign forces and defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country.
