A rest home, dwelling houses, a hostel, goat farm, grazing route extending tens of kilometers and a fish-farming pool were built and more than 100,000 trees were planted along with the power station, drastically changing the appearance in the surrounding areas.

Thanks from General Secretary Kim Jong Il to the builders, officials and working people who participated in the construction of the power station was conveyed.

A completion address made by Choe Ryong Hae, chief secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, was followed by speeches.
