Reception Given by UK Ambassador

| Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Peter Hughes, UK ambassador to the DPRK, Monday arranged a reception as regards the friendly matches now under way on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the opening of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and UK. Present there were the visiting Middlesbrough Football Club Ladies' Team, UK, and staff members of the UK embassy and other British guests staying in the DPRK. Also there on invitation were Son Kwang Ho, vice-minister of Physical Culture and Sports, officials concerned, players of the April 25 Women's Football Team and football veterans who created a stir in the world football circle after advancing to quarterfinals for the first time in Asian history during the 8th World Cup. Speeches were made there. |
