In this regard Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a signed commentary:

The U.S. imperialists' scheme to get the nuclear-powered carrier "George Washington" involved in the combined anti-submarine drill to be launched in the West Sea of Korea by them is to make the joint military exercises a nuclear war rehearsal.

The U.S. is going to persistently stage the joint military exercises despite the protest and denunciation of people at home and abroad. Lurking behind such moves is an intention to contain other big powers by force of arms.

It is indisputable that through the exercises the U.S. seeks to establish its military hegemony over Northeast Asia and put this region under its control by force.

A serious situation, in which an all-out war may break out by any accident, is now prevailing in the Korean Peninsula. However, the U.S. war maniacs are ceaselessly beefing up armed forces and staging war games in this acute hotspot, which may drive the situation to an unpredictable grave phase.

The army and people of the DPRK can never remain an onlooker to the fact that the U.S. imperialists are posing a serious threat to its sovereignty while mobilizing huge armed forces to conduct a three-dimensional attack operation.

They who have bolstered up their war deterrent in every way by dint of Songun will go all-out to display the stamina of the DPRK if the enemies dare provoke.

The U.S. should renounce the daydream to realize its wild design for aggression through the anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK.
