US Accused of Trumpeting about Missile "Threat"

Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- Recently, a high-ranking officer of the U.S. military, ballyhooing about missile "threat" to the U.S. from somebody, blustered that in case the U.S. comes under a missile attack, it is capable of shooting it down. He underscored the need to comprehend capabilities and intentions of those states which pose a threat to the U.S. Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: Such remarks are sheer nonsense. There are countries exposed to military threat from the U.S. in the world, but no country threatens the U.S. by force of arms. Citing facts to prove that the U.S. has put spurs to the arms buildup and the modernization of armed forces in a bid to dominate the world by force of arms and threatened other countries militarily, the commentary goes on: A particular mention should be made of the fact that the U.S. has steadily escalated the military threat to the DPRK, rendering the situation tenser. Entering this year, the U.S. groundlessly linked the south Korean puppet warship case with the DPRK and has massively shipped nuclear weapons and equipment into the areas around the Korean Peninsula and escalated the exercises for a nuclear war to stifle the DPRK by force of arms under this pretext. The situation on the Korean Peninsula is so tense that a war may break out any moment and peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region are exposed to a serious threat. The U.S. moves for a war of aggression pose a direct threat to the peace and security not only in the Asia-Pacific but in the Middle East and Europe and the rest of the world. All facts go to clearly prove that the U.S. is the chieftain of an arms race and the arch criminal threatening and disturbing the global peace and security. The U.S. is loudmouthed about somebody's military "threat" like a thief crying "Stop the thief!" This is a revelation of consciousness of anachronistic confrontation and war hysteria and no more than a subterfuge to justify its mean policy of war of aggression. |
