Wreaths Laid before Bust of Kim Jong Suk
Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the bust of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese heroine, in the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong Wednesday on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of her demise.

Seen standing before the bust was a wreath sent by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were senior party, army and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, leading officials of party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the KPA and the Korean Internal Security Forces and working people and school youth and children in the city.

Wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet were placed before the bust.

Placed then before the bust were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, KPA units, educational, public health and media institutions, the joint national organization of the Korean Children's Union, party and power organs, factories, farms, etc. in Pyongyang.

The participants paid silent tribute to Kim Jong Suk, looking back on her noble life through which she made immortal contributions to accomplishing the sacred cause of liberating the country and achieving national prosperity as the closest comrade and a soldier most loyal to President Kim Il Sung and carved out a rosy future for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.

On the same day, floral baskets were laid before her statues in Kim Jong Suk County, Hoeryong City and at Kim Jong Suk Naval University and Kim Jong Suk General Military Academy.
