Withdrawal of US Troops from S. Korea Demanded in Nepal
Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The Nepal-Korea Friendship Association and the Nepalese Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea made public a joint statement on Sept. 22 in denunciation of the U.S. troops' presence in south Korea.

The statement said that the U.S. troops' presence in south Korea is the root cause of disturbing the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and keeping the Korean people, a homogenous nation, divided. It refers in detail to its illegality.

The statement recalled that since their shameful defeat in the Korean War the U.S. imperialists have massively shipped military equipment including nukes into south Korea and worked hard to perpetuate their forces' presence in south Korea.

It went on:

The U.S. troops' presence in south Korea is the root cause of the division of the Korean nation that lasted for more than half a century. It is not only a threat to peace on the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia and, furthermore, the world but a challenge to the fair conscience of the world and international law.

The Nepal-Korea Friendship Association and the Nepalese Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea strongly demand the U.S. troops immediately pull out of south Korea to ensure peace and stability on the peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia and the world.
