Displayed in its venue were photos showing the Songun revolutionary feats of General Secretary
Kim Jong Il.

Attending it were members of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association and its Hai Duong Provincial Committee and political and public figures of the province. Present on invitation were the ambassador and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Hanoi.

The chairman of the association, in his speech at the conference, expressed full support and solidarity with the Korean people in the drive to open the gate to a thriving socialist nation in 2012 under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by Kim Jong Il while overcoming the hardships caused by the U.S. moves to stifle the DPRK and consecutive natural disasters and stressed that the Korean people would certainly emerge victorious.

It is their noble duty to steadily consolidate and develop the friendly relations between the two countries personally provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung, the chairman said, adding:

The association will continue to intensify the activities of solidarity for supporting the lines and policies of the WPK and the DPRK government and the Korean people's struggle for justice.

The conference elected the executive of the Hai Duong Provincial Committee of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association.
