At the meeting Kim Hyong Jun conveyed to Fidel Castro Ruz the greetings, verbal message and gift sent by General Secretary Kim Jong Il to him.

Fidel Castro Ruz said that they would always remember the material and moral assistance given by President Kim Il Sung to the Cuban revolution.

Cuba fully supports the DPRK under the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il, which has had access to powerful war deterrent including nuclear weapons to defend the sovereignty of the country and socialism from the nuclear threat of the U.S., he said.

He sincerely hoped that the conference of the Workers' Party of Korea would be successfully held and everything would go well in the DPRK under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
